Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

Any payments are non-refundable. If you have to cancel a reservation, it can be applied to another date, except if cancellation occurs at least 7 days prior to the scheduled charter date.

If Spinnaker Crew Sailing has to cancel the charter, which may happen from time to time, (e.g., sickness, accidents, travel delays), we will make every effort to find a mutually agreeable future date, but our liability is limited to a refund of the original deposit.

Refunds & Adjustments

After a deposit is placed for an educational event or for a charter, the student or the charter is entitled to work with the company to reschedule the event (prior to 7 days before the start of the event). However, no refund will be given.

If a student or charterer, needs to leave the course or charter before it is complete, due to sickness, family emergency or any other reason, no refunds or adjustments can be made for any unused portion of the course or charter.

If a course or charter is cancelled due to weather no cash refunds will be issued, but you will be given a rain check to reschedule at a later date.

Rescheduling

Any event that is confirmed and paid completely can be rescheduled if given one week’s notice (7 days) notice before the scheduled event.

Any event that is cancelled with less than one week’s notice, can not be rescheduled and forfeits all payments made to Spinnaker Crew Sailing. Unfortunately, this hardline stance protects the company as it precludes the company and captains from booking other charters for those dates.
