I’ve had NO sailing experience and I don’t know if its right for me…
The reality is that it might not be right for you. If you are on the fence, “Take a test drive” and gain a first hand perspective on what it’s like to sail without a long-term commitment. Our sailboats are well equipped with all of the gear necessary to sail safely and comfortably on the lake. In fact, we go above and beyond what the U.S. Coast Guard requires. And most importantly, our captains are licensed by the USCG and are certified by the American Sailing Association. They have the experience necessary to give you the clarity you need to understand if sailing is right for you.
I’ve had SOME sailing instruction but need some more help in…
This may be one of our most common types of custom instruction that we actually provide. To be very clear, even after taking ALL of Spinnaker Crew Sailing’s courses, there will still be learning that needs to occur. Let’s face it, living life is continued learning. So we completely understand and are here to help. Maybe an individual needs to have a deeper dive in docking. We can help. Maybe more clarity is needed on sail trim. No problem. Or maybe even an individual has just purchased a new sailboat and wants specific, tailored instruction on the new vessel. Yes, we do that too.

Our experienced instructors are here to help. It is not uncommon for accomplished sailors to seek out and gain experience with the help of someone who’s been there and done that. For example. Maybe help is needed to use an Asymmetrical Spinnaker? Maybe more experience is needed in long-range passage planning? Handling different weather conditions? Yes, we can and have helped the experienced sailor.
