Customer Appreciation Event a Success

Last weekend did not disappoint. The day was picture perfect. There wasn't a cloud in the sky with warm 73 degree temps. We had a great turnout to start the day off at our customer appreciation event. The afternoon started off with appetizers, sandwiches, dessert and champagne toasts... great conversation and new friendships abounded! Congratulations to all of the raffle winners too! As we began to wrap up and store the tent, we could see the racing boats in the harbor getting ready to leave.

And the winner is...

It was finally time to head out. After splitting the crew up into the 3 sailboats we were ready to depart. All three of the boats were full and headed to the viewing area just outside of Navy Pier. After a quick motor to the area, the boats anchored and watched the race.

Although the day was picture perfect, the wind did not cooperate. At only 5 knots (max), the Chicago Sail GP event did not set any racing records. New Zealand was able to master the tricky light winds and positioned themselves to the first victory of Sail GP's season four. The final standings were:
