The Chicago Yacht Club’s 115th Race to Mackinac
As many of you know, the prestigious 333 mile Race to Mackinac (from Chicago) starts tomorrow. This iconic sailing event, known for its challenging course and rich history, is a highlight of the sailing calendar. It brings together some of the best sailors from around the world, competing in an exhilarating race from Chicago to Mackinac Island.
We are incredibly proud to announce that one of our esteemed instructors, Captain Frank Jaeger, Jr. has been selected to serve on the Race Committee for this year’s Race to Mackinac. This is a tremendous honor and a testament to Frank's expertise, dedication, and passion for sailing.
Frank Jr. has been an integral part of our team, inspiring and educating many of you on the joys and skills of sailing. His involvement in the Race to Mackinac not only highlights his commitment to the sport but also underscores the high caliber of our instructors as well as the quality and excellence we provide at Spinnaker Crew Sailing. Not only is Frank Jr. an instructor, but he was once a student as well (and didn't know the bow from the stern). Now he is on the Race Committee!
We invite you all to join us in celebrating Frank’s achievement. Let's cheer him on as he not only takes on this significant role in one of the most exciting sailing events of the year but also is crewing on "Scarlet Begonias" (Dufour 36). Additionally, he will be representing the Chicago Yacht Club as a first time Mac racer with pre-race interviews on NBC, CBS, WGN, and other local news networks set to air on Saturday.
Thank you for being a part of the Spinnaker Crew Sailing family. We look forward to seeing you on the water and sharing more successes and adventures with you.
